The targa topped 308 GTS was introduced in 1977 and was made famous on the Magnum P.I. television show. Several cars were used, a new one for
each season, most being auctioned off after filming. The first was a 1979 model just like this one (28251). The mechanically similar 308 GT4
shared much with the original Dino, and the 308. Both sit on the same tube-frame platform, with a 92 in (2,300 mm) wheelbase for the 308 GTB
(the 308 GT4 has a longer wheelbase, it is a 2+2) , and 4-wheel double wishbone independent suspension. This example is a very clean car showing
a mere 5200 miles on the odometer, although we have no proof other then the last owner stating this to be accurate. It has fantastic unblemished
Black coachwork w/a Black Leather interior that is just as clean. It has Factory Air Conditioning that works well too. The last owner stated it
is up to date on it's service, but I am still waiting on documents to state this too. Overall she is a rustfree & near mint 308 GTS that runs
excellent & shows extremely well as many of these 308's were run hard & put away wet. It also has a very nice set of period optional Gotti wheels
& new tires. This is a real great value in an entry level Ferrari that will please the next lucky owner to no end. Please don't miss this 308 GTS.
